As Angela, video, 1998

This performance-based video represents my attempt to make a portrait of someone in her absence. In the video, I use theater makeup and costume elements to transform myself into a likeness of Angela. I use a polaroid photograph for reference and then take polaroid pictures of myself in the transformed state.
